My dear friend Ann mentioned our book today on her blog. I feel so honored! Even more honored to know her daughter read the book when it arrived-- I don't think any of my own children have read it!!
Case in point, my 7 yo saw me looking at what Ann had written this morning. "What's your book about?" he asked.
"It's about learning how to handle your money wisely," I said.
My 3 yo, who was curled up next to him in our bed said, "No it's not. It's about pigs."
That cracked my husband and I up to think that all this time in her little three year old brain she has been thinking that he and I put our heads together and wrote about PIGS!! (Check out our book cover in the sidebar to get why she might have thought that.)
You just never know around here...

That is hilarious and precious at the same time! Don't you just love the mind of a toddler?
My oldest daughter cked out a website that is advertised on the radio here, "FEED THE PIG.COM" I think, anyway she said to me that it is confusing mom, why do they call it that? The website shows a piggy bank and your money going in the piggy bank when you find a DEAL that saves you money, she was baffled, "shouldn't we be keeping that money mom if we're saving?" I had to explain the concept behind it all. It's funny what kids think.
That's too cute. What's the saying out of the mouth of babes? Sounds like an awesome book.
Now that is stinkin' funny!!! Mercy. But it could have made for some great chapter titles:
Bringing home the Bacon
Don't pout with your snout when your money runs out
Why we shouldn't hog our money
Thank you very much, I'll be here all week. Tadum-dumt!
A cute story. Thanks for sharing it.
really funny! thank you for the laugh.
love it!
We've got the Dave Ramsey books..and we'd watch his show when we had that channel..
ONe day we were at my parents, my youngest was in the house alone coloring..the tv happened to be on..
My oldest (8) came out and said that her sister was watching Dave Ramsey...
When I went in...it was far from Dave Ramsey...it was Pat Robertson, LOL
So funny and adorable.
I read Ann's post today and was so happy for you. She has quite a readership. I added your book to my library list. We are completely debt free by grace and hard work. It is a wonder place to be.
Funny to me that little was sure that you and daddy knew enough about pigs to write a book.
Yes, you gotta love it...from the mouths of babes. Looking forward to seeing you at She Speaks. :)
I've been meaning to pick up your book on pigs myself! Cute story. I'm frequently amazed at what my kids think sometimes too.
So cute!
