Apple Crisp

Peel, core and chunk up about 4-6 apples. Sprinkle with 1 Tbsp lemon juice. Lay evenly in greased 8 inch pan. (I used a 9X13 pan because I double all recipes. As it is there was NONE left tonight.)

Mix up 1 cup oats (Quick or old-fashioned), 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1/3 cup flour, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1/2 tsp. salt. Add 1/3 cup melted butter and mix well.

Sprinkle the topping mixture evenly over the apples.

Bake at 375 until golden brown and apples are cooked through (about 30 minutes).

Serve warm with ice cream-- try not to eat too much!

Yummy! Apple crisp is so good! Thanks also for including pictures. I'm on of those people that can't read a recipe and know if I want to try it or not. I need pictures.

Yum! I just might have all those ingredients in my cabinet (and freezer!). Thanks for the inspiration. Looks like the heat wave might cool down today so it would be perfect!

Marybeth,

WOW! you mean this doesn't come in a box? That's the only way I've ever had apple crisp. :)

See you at the Christian Business Men's Convention.

I posted a similar recipe on my blog earlier this month except it had walnuts in it. SOOO yummy!! I've made FAR too many of them already.
