And that's okay. Let's practice saying that together.
Ok, here's a list of our meals for the week in no assigned order:

- Chicken milano (tomato and white wine sauce) over angel hair pasta, steamed broccoli
- scrambled eggs, chocolate chip crumbcake, grits and bacon
- Pork roast, rice and gravy, corn
- chili with shredded cheese, sour cream and tortilla chips on top
- Cuban beans and rice (Go here to see what has prompted this meal)
And now for the baking:
- Honey oat muffins
- Chocolate Peanut Butter Drop Cookies (Oh Shari, your favorite!)
- Blueberry muffin cake
- Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Crumbcake

ETA: The honey oat muffins are baked and so are the chocolate peanut butter drop cookies! I am on a roll!

Your menu plan sounds so good right about now... especially the baked goods!
Yummy. I'm estimating your house is only a 2 hour flight from mine so I could be there in time for dinner. I'm making crock pot parmesan chicken so once I get that started the fam can fin for themselves! Happy Baking!
You must share the chocolate chip crumbcake recipe!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck on that, I'm lucky to get frozen biscuts made at my house. I did make chocolate chip cookies on sunday, the kind out of the package you break apart still I had to fire up the oven and bake them. I guess my family is just spoiled, I'm a terrible cook so if it isn't burnt they at least try it. If I pay the shipping do you think you could send me some of you homemade goodies???????????? Just kiddin!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How about a second blog with all of your recipes??? :)
Yummo!
That sounds just delish. And thanks for making your list just a list and not a taskmaster, and for giving us permission for doing the same. I rule by them sometimes, not good.
I appreciate the link on your last post, "why do I make it so hard?" That was very good, we can get so drug out by guilt sometimes, forgetting that Jesus has it all under control so why are we fretting.
OHMYGOSH!!!
Are we twin music friends? Like to Get to Know You Well by Howard Jones is my FAVE song! I loved it way back when, and I have it on my IPOD too. :-)
Hey girl!
Thanks for your comment on my blog today. Please go back and see my response. :)

You are so inspiring me to get with it and bake. I enjoy it when I have the time. So the key, isn't it?
Blessings! And good luck.
I have been trying over the last few weeks to be more organised with menu planning and baking and am really enjoying it as are the children. It spurs me on and gives me ideas when I read your menu and baking list...thank you. Just out of interest as I am doing my cooking in England....what are "grits" and would my tribe enjoy them?
Happy cooking.
Rachel.
First of all, I am laughing at Rachel in England over the "grits"...We southern girls MUST tell her what they are!!! Marybeth, be sure to do that on your blog! My youngest loves her some cheese grits. I have an AWESOME grits/sausage casserole recipe and if you'd like it and like to share it, I'll be happy to pass it along, it was passed on to me and its a hit!!
My question Marybeth though is..I know you have a lot of kids, but do you guys eat all that baking? I love to cook and bake, but as we are trying to watch our weight, I can't imagine baking that much in a week or even two. I do give alot away myself as I do not want to keep a whole cake, etc in the house. You go girl!
Blessings~Alyce
Being a big time baker/cook myself I have appreciated your blog. My husband and I love to find new ways to prepare some of the more common dishes.
I too keep baked goods in the freezer for those family and friends that like to drop by. :)

Oooh, that Chicken Milano sounds yummy.
Wow! I'm impressed. My family would be lucky if I cooked that much in a year!!! And you do it all in a week. You are such an inspiration!!! Good luck with that!
Marybeth,
That's pretty ambitious!!
But IT"S OKAY if you don't do it all. Repeat: IT"S OKAY. :) I'm just sayin' what you said.
It looks so yummy, though.
Wow! What a great idea...bulk baking. I think that is good enough to put you right back on that pedestal...tall and proud for all to see;)
Thanks for the inspiration...I may have to try it myself sometime soon.
