Christmas Post Day 14: Another Giveaway!

Two Fridays ago, I joined with Lori Catlin Garcia to give away a Fine Art Cross. That was cool.

Last Friday, I reviewed the new cd from Jeremy Camp and gave away one, thanks to the folks at Overture Media company. (I will be posting the winner's name on Monday!)

And this Friday, I am giving away three candles from Connie, who is selling candles to raise money to bring their newest child home from China. So, if you are looking for a great gift and a way to help out a family, this is perfect!

Here's what Connie had to say about what one lucky winner will receive:

12 oz. hand poured...triple scented. All are a milky white color...any scent will match anyone's home. 9 scents to choose from representing each Fruit of the Spirit. Different Bible verses on each one to go along with each fruit of the spirit. Poured in a square jar with extra cute packaging...great for a Christmas or Birthday gift. All scents have been tested in our own homes. We've been making candles for over 10 years. The winner will choose their 3 favorite scents from the right-hand margin of Connie’s blog

Who doesn't love candles?? And I love her idea of combining the scents with the fruits of the spirit! Since you win three, that means that you could keep one and give two away, or package them all together as a beautiful, impressive gift for someone in your life.

Please visit Connie's blog, then leave me a comment telling me which one you like best for your chance to win this most excellent prize! Thanks Connie for doing this giveaway. You have all of our prayers as you seek to bring another child into your wonderful home through the miracle of adoption.

I need some Joy - Buttercream crunch right now. Yesterday my husband got word that come January 13th he might not have a job so a little joy might be nice.

Donna said...

I would like some the scent of joy wafting through my house right now.I have been learning a lot about joy these last years with our blended family of nine. The Lord has delivered us out of miles of miry clay and I am learning joy is a action and it is a lot like buttercream crunch. Without the crunch mingled throught the "ooey, gooey" sweetness, it would not be nearly as delightful.
Thanks,
Donna

WOW a woman after my own heart...I am starting a non profit to build a community of homes for married couples to live at to do foster care in hopes of getting waiting children adopted...before they age out of the system...I have a passion for adoption! I may just hop over there and buy a candle or two after the holiday rush is over...Ü What a great idea. www.hopebloomsmn.org

Thanks for showing us this. I never did hear who won the Cross pendant..I like to see that kind of stuff. Is there a link to see who the blessed person was/is?

Well if I went on scent alone I would go for Baked Apple Pie (or Pumpkin Pie, or Sweet Pea, or Cinnamon Toast, or Buttercream Crunch...who am I kidding any of the except maybe the Vanilla Grapefruit...not such a fan of either of those scents). But if I was going on the "fruit" I need it would have to be patience!!! Thanks for the giveaway!!!

"Goodness" sounds GOOD to me!

What an awesome giveaway! I did a whole series of posts on the fruits of the Spirit on my blog not too long ago! How cool is that. I'd say my favorite is the Self-Control - Baked Apple pie, not only for the scent but for the reminder to bear that fruit. Great post, Marybeth. You are too sweet.

I would choose faithfulness, because of all of the characteristics of God that are most precious to me, I would say His faithfulness tops the list. I would love for that faithfulness to characterize my life as well. I'm good in the short haul but run out of enthusiasm fast-- something I need to work on continually (which requires faithfulness. . . sigh).

I love your blog, especially your candidness. You are an encouragement to me!!

Peace looks like my favorite. Thaks for choosing me.

Faithfulness ~ Pumpkin Pie

Sounds like a wonderful scent.

Gentleness - Cinnamon Toast - brings back wonderful memories for me. My mother used to make it for us Christmas morning. We would have that and COFFEE! Of course our coffee was a cup of hot milk with maybe a tablespoon of coffee in it, but to a 6 year old - it was COFFEE, just like Mamma and Daddy's....

Self Control - Apple Pie sounds heavenly to me. My siblings were adopted from South Korea, I was domestic adoption and we adopted our 2 oldest kiddos from foster care. God bless this family in their adoption journey.
