Thanks to all of you who have written me privately or left comments to assure me you are praying-- God has answered those prayers. Today has been a much better day and Karen and her family have gotten to see the "real" little girl we all know. She has been running and grinning a lot today-- what a joy it is to see her back to normal... even if we do have to keep a much closer watch on her now!
As I write this, Karen and I are both sitting with our respective laptops, steadily working away as the little one naps and the older kids enjoy some time at the beach. We took a nice long walk this morning and are planning to head to the beach this afternoon when she wakes up.
It only took til Thursday, but now it feels like a vacation.

I'm still praying for your little one. Bless her heart! And yours, too! I hope you got some rest last night and that she continues to improve. Enjoy the rest of your vacation!
I'm so happy that you and "what's her name" are finally sitting and enjoying the beach with your laptops. However, have you seen what she has written on her blog? Southern Folk Bashing!
I'm not naming names and you know I'm not one for gossip or ugly talk, but your friend, Earen Kehman, is simply confused. In Michigan, the foreign country where she resides, they ask for a pop not a soda. A pop of what? And, how does this distinguish the specific carbonated beverage of choice? Is pop a brand? I think not!
And I certainly don't understand the big deal about saying "all ya'll." At least we don't refer to everyone, regardless of gender, as "you guys."
Has she mentioned what she puts on her hotdogs? It's not pretty. Ya'll need to get her a Carolina dog ASAP with a side of Cheerwine and a Moonpie! Oh... and do something about her flat hair!
YAY! Enjoy it while you can!!!
Praise God! I have been checking the blog and praying. So glad you were able to stay on your vacation and enjoy time with your dear friend.
May your little one continue to feel better and completely healed.
Wow! Sounds like you've had quite a week. I'm so glad she's feeling better! ~Sam
I'm glad things are looking up! I pray you'll be able to start relaxing soon!
A mommy's work is never done...
Ahh...it finally sounds like a perfect day. Special friends, kids napping, laptops, and the beach...what could be better? (hopefully, there's coffee in there somewhere.)
Aaahhh...breathing a sigh of relief for you. Enjoy the rest of your time there.
I'm so glad to hear your little one is feeling better! Enjoy your vacation!
