Hello, Marybeth! I found your blog the other day after reading the wonderful reviews about your Christmas ebook. As it turns out, I am the blessed winner from Kelli's blog, "There is No Place Like Home." She said to e-mail you, but I can't seem to be able to do that, so I thought I would let you know here.
My own e-mail is granolagirl97ATyaHooDOTcOM
Thank you so much for making this contest available. I'm really looking forward to reading your book! :)
Oh, and I love the piece you wrote below. I know exactly what you are talking about. My own younger daughter has said to me, "Mom, are you LISTENING to me?" And it is then that I realize I am giving the vague, "Mmmm-hmmm's" and need to stop what I am doing and really look at her and listen.
Such an important message and one I'm glad your little one shared with you... and us. :)
Marybeth-
Thank you so much for the great devotion today.
I have been on both sides of that story, and it's such a relief to find our own children and also to be the one rescued! When we find our own, I guess we do feel a lot like God does when He finds us! Wow!
I met you a couple of times on the cruise and regret missing the opportunity to really visit. I am the one who was with Renee when you looked for us for almost 1/2 hour! I never did really understand how we missed each other, but I am sorry it happened none the less.
Thank you for being willing to share your life with all of us and being so real. Here's to real moms, living real lives, and serving a real Jesus! (Cheering and clapping in the background:)
In His Love,

Marybeth-
Thanks so much for such an inspiring word. All I can say is "I was lost and now I'm found and was blind but now I see." Its so sad when you are lost in Church like I had been for the past couple of years and in my attempt to run away from God I took along a few things that I had picked up in the journey called life. I carried along with me in my backpack ample amounts of unforgivenss, bitterness, anger and regrets (plenty), but our blessed Savior sent out an APB (All Points Bulletin) and had some of his precious Servants (Pastors) usher me back into His presence and this has caused me to surrender. I too like your daughter was found, hiding in a large congregation in NYC, hiding from the Father and Truth. I've taken off that backpack and I'm running into the arms of my loving Father because when Daddy wants you He's relentless in His search and He doesn't give up. We hear Him calling but our pride and past mistakes keep us from His presence. I've learned you can run but you can't hide but for so long. Now I'm holding on to His unchanging hand because I don't want to ever get lost again!
