I read-- well, devoured-- this book. At first I was skeptical but after the tenth person recommended it to me, I figured I would give it a try. Boy was I glad I listened! Of course I was extra happy when I heard my friends at Disney were going to make it into a movie. Here's the trailer just to whet your appetite.
The bad news is, we have to wait til August to see it!!

I just finished The Help a couple weeks ago and I loved it. The movie trailer looks great, can't wait to see it.
I read this book in 2009, and like you I devoured it! I gave my copy away, but I think I'd like to read it again...before the movie. Not sure when I'd fit it in...but it was such a wonderful story.
I read this book last year, and like you, I could hardly put it down. It wasn unlike anything I've ever read before...fascinating look at 'small town south' of the past!
I read that book in 4 days and I am not a fast reader. Could not put it down!!!!

Not the sort of book I usually read, but after several folks recommended it, I tried it to. I found it compelling - I had to finish it and know what happened. I wouldn't say I loved it - the injustice is painful to acknowledge - but it was really well written.
