Today I am leaving for one of the highlights of my year-- the American Christian Fiction Writers conference.
If you are a Christian fiction writer-- or think you'd like to be one-- I would highly recommend putting this conference on your radar for next year. This is a great place to 1) make fiction writing friends, 2) network within the fiction writing world, 3) learn a LOT about how to be a better fiction writer, and 4) pitch your ideas to editors and agents.
The ACFW conference couldn't come at a better time for me, as I am in the midst of my edits for my next novel. I am looking forward to some great, inspiring classes that I can put to use right away!

Have a great time!
By the way, I tried your chicken pie recipe the other night. I was so excited because it sounded soooo good! My husband and I were visiting as I was making it and so I forgot to add the cream of chicken soup.I had already poured the crust topping over the chicken when I realized this. I could not believe it!!! It was still pretty good ... kinda bland but edible. :) I messed up absolutely everything I touched in the kitchen that night! Either I am not a P31 woman in the kitchen or it is time to retire from kitchen duty after 31 years of service to our family.
If I don't retire (:)) I will be trying your recipe again soon.
I just purchased your book, The Mailbox. I have heard it is a great read. I am looking forward to it!
Blessings,
Cheri
Marybeth,
Have a great time at the conference. I am sure you will come home with much inspiration to continue on your writing journey. Very exciting about your next novel.
Hugs, Debra
Good luck at the conference!
Thanks for posting the blurb about ACFW. I will check out their website and the conference information.
I am a member of the Christian Writer's Guild. During the 2010 Conference, I met a couple of women who mentioned they were members of ACFW, but I never looked into it. Obviously God put it in my face again, for a reason, so we'll see where that leads. LOL!
I write Teen Fiction, Non-Fiction and poetry and would love to connect with you via Facebook and this blog. Please check out my website at www.xedixon.com
The Lord has placed a burden on my heart to encourage writers to use their gifts for God's glory! You go, girl! : )
BTW, I am adding a Guest Writer's page in October. It's under design now. I'd love for you to consider submitting some of your work to be published on my site. Praying God blesses the work of your hands as you serve Him through your craft, sister.
