A Verse For You

Because someone needs to hear this verse today:

Exodus 14:13-14, Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today... The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."

Today is a day for being still, to stop striving and grasping and reaching for solutions. Every time you start to do that today, instead pray. Tell God that you are not going to be afraid. That you trust His deliverance is coming and that you know He is fighting on your behalf, so you don't have to.

Try that. Just for today. Take the day off from working it all out and let Him do it instead.

Oh Marybeth...just one day at a time. I need to copy this and read it every day until it becomes a lifestyle. I have been caught in the chaos of indecision...striving, grasping and reaching for solutions. I have been battling fear. Thank you for this!!!

Hugs,
Joy

Marybeth, I don't always take the time to comment, but please know that I read your posts regularly and you do inspire me.

This post gives me permission to just be and let God do His work. I tire of always trying to be in control of everything that goes on around me.

Thank your for the reminder to put it in God's hands.

Have a blessed weekend.

Tossed and turned a lot last night thinking about how I am going to get my book written in time for my deadline in a few weeks. This verse is so perfect for me today!!

Wish I could have made it to your book signing but well...you probably know where I was...writing mine :0)

That someone is me! I realize it took a few days for me to "see" it but I had to "Be still" so God could lead me. Thank you! I know I can trust Him in all things, I just scared sometimes...Thank you again for your encouragement! Love, Kim

You have no idea how right on this verse is for me and my family. It's like you have been listen to our conversations or something. Amazing. It's great how GOD uses his people.

I really needed this and it doesn't look like I'm the only one. :D

Thank you, I'll be trying that out today!
