Bookplates and Book Club Conference Calls

Just letting you guys know that I am offering to sign your copies of The Mailbox through a signed bookplate. I hadn't really thought about this til a reader contacted me and asked if she could mail me her book to sign. I suddenly realized that a signed label would be a much better, faster, and cheaper way to go... and she agreed. I figured why not extend this offer to any of you who would like to do the same?? So I have a package of labels at the ready and would be happy to sign it and mail it to you if you would like to adhere it to the inside of your book. Contact me via email with your address and any special instructions (the name of the person you want it signed to or that you just want my name, etc.) and I will get it out to you asap as my gift to you-- a little way of saying "thank you" for reading!

Also, if your book club is choosing The Mailbox, I would love to "visit" you all and answer your questions via conference call! I can talk with you for about 15 minutes and take questions from the group about most anything you want to ask. If you live within an hour of the Charlotte NC area, I would also be willing to visit in person. Again, just email me privately if you would like to set this up.

I have a devotion running today on P31! I hope you enjoy my thoughts on forgiving others, even when it's hard. And if you haven't seen the trailer for The Mailbox yet, look below or head over to www.shereads.org. I posted some of our favorite beach recipes on there yesterday. Remember I am going to be posting over there all month!

Oh my sweet sister, thank the Lord for speaking to your heart and posting this blog today. Boy did I need this today!!! Yes I have a someone that I need to work on forgiving. My children's father, he is making very misguided choices regarding our children, he is full of hurt and anger and can't see beyond that. It has been a struggle for me to forgive him for his choices and the way they hurt our children. Today's devotion reminded me that God forgave us, why can't I forgive him. The answer is that I can and I need to! Please pray for myself and my children's father that forgiveness may reign in our hearts.
Thank you

Lulu, I think forgving those who hurt our children is one of the hardest things to forgive. Praying God fills you with His love for your ex and you are filled with supernatural grace towards him-- because that's what you need!!

I just read your devo. I've had someone on my mind for quite some time. Her birthday was Monday but I couldn't bring myself to even send a simple "happy birthday" email. (fear of rejection, I suppose) I feel as though I have forgiven her. I pray for her often. But I also feel like forgiveness is a two-way street. Perhaps I'm having a hard time forgiving her for not reciprocating. Anyway, I like what you said about drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die.
Thank you, Marybeth, for opening your heart. I so enjoy reading your blogs and miss you when you skip days. :)

Marybeth,

I just finished reading The Mailbox and I have to say that I love, love, love that book! Couldn't wait to dive into it, so I won't be reading it while on our vacation but I'm still planning on huntin' for that mailbox! You have done a fabulous job and I'll have to say you are right up there with my favorite inspirational fiction author. I'm looking forward to another novel from you. Telling all my friends about the book! I almost want to turn around and read it again and I don't normally want to do that with a book. Keep on writing these kinds of books, Marybeth. You're great!

Sweet Blessings~
Pam

Marybeth, I love the signed bookplate idea!!! I was holding off buying a copy of your book until "She Speaks" for the very reason of desiring you to sign it for me while I was there...however...this is a fabulous idea and would enable me to purchase your book now to enjoy! :) I will be sending off an e-mail...assuming you would mail one to Canada...and if not, maybe I could just get a signed bookplate when I come to NC!

Have a great weekend!
Blessings,
Joy
