Chris Tomlin Hello Love

I am announcing the winner of the School Planner giveaway. I had my son choose a number, and he picked 7-- commenter number 7 was Leherin. Leherin, I don't have an email for you, so please email me or leave me a comment so I can get your address. If Leherin doesn't reply in the next few days, I will post an alternate winner.

Thanks for sharing all your great organization ideas--I love learning from you guys!

And now for a new giveaway.

Who would like the new Chris Tomlin cd?? I had a chance to listen to it and it is so good-- very much what you would expect from him with lots of great Praise and Worship songs. Leave me a comment and I will choose a winner next Wednesday. Fun!

I'd love it! I can always use some new praise and worship music...especially Chris Tomlin. Thanks for your blog, Mary Beth. I'm the mom of 3 bitties under age 5 and it's so nice to hear from another mom with a busy life! I check your blog all the time for updates, even though I never comment.

Thanks for the reminder about a blog being fun. Good advice for those days when I quite honestly have nothing to share.

I haven't gotten a new Chris Tomlin CD in a few years. What a great addition it could be to my growing Christian music collection.

Love reading your blog...and how fun is this contest? Chris Tomlin is one of my favorites---how did I miss that he has a new CD out?!? Hope you're feeling more motivated today. As a homeschooler I know there are days (ok MANY days) where I feel less than motivated.

Blessings, Amy (amyjoivey@yahoo.com, just in case "5" is the number!)

Chris Tomlin would be great! Thanks for your words - I could relate to your motivation post or lack there of! And loved hearing the bit you had to say about Hearts at Home! Are you coming to the conference in Rochester in November? I am counting down the days!!

On a side note as I read your message above about what's on my mind - earlier this summer I sent you some questions about publishing, anyway I have signed a contract and the journey has begun!

Thanks for your constant encouragement and as a new homeschooling mom I love all those posts!
Blessings, Jill

OOOh! I would love the new Tomlin CD. We saw him in concert last year....amazing!!

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Mr. Tomlin. My husband (The Rockstar Nurse;) Has always been into music. For years (although a strong christian), did not listen to any christian music....and espeically praise and worship. He played on the worship team at our church for years....more out of duty than anything.

However, Mr. Tomlin came a long and something about him (and oh yea, God too) MAJORIALLY changed my hubby. He fell in love with Tomlin...and over the past 3 years, worship has now become his passion! He even gave up his band because he couldn't do as much worship!

Obviously, God was involved along the way too, but he definitely used Chris Tomlin to change him.

Sorry for the long post...I didn't want to just say, "oh yea, I like him!" He just means more to me than that;)

ps. have you read Tomlin's book...it is an easy read but great! It also majorally impacted my "non-reader" hubby;)

Chris Tomlin is amazing...we'd all be very surprised to know how many of the worship songs we sing in church were written by Chris.

I could really use this CD to change things up in my car some. I have a 7 year old that absolutely LOVES TobyMac and insists that we listen to it 24/7...hopefully if I won Chris Tomlin's CD I could talk him into at least considering a rotation lol.

Loved the devotion today on moving forward in obedience and not looking back. How like us to want to run back to what's comfortable! May we all be so captivated by what God has for us that we never want to turn back.

I loved hearing you at the HOTM HS conference and I really enjoyed your devotion today (the 15th). It really touched my heart and for me, it was exactly what I needed to read today. I've been in a bit of a hard spot lately and I'm soaking up every bit of what I can use right now. Just like the ground soaking up the rain on a parched season.

I really enjoy Chris Tomlin. I didn't even know he came out with a new CD. I pray whoever ends up winning it will be blessed!

October 10th is my birthday, so I thought how precious it is of God to lead my computer (it often makes traveling decisions!!) to this webpage that was dated Oct. 10th.I did a painting of my two young sons in their red rain boots splashing in the rain, and your rain devotional brought back the same memories. I woke up to rain this morning and basqued in the beautiful sound, even though I would rather have been in the mountains listening to it! I am thankful for this day, this place, and the joy of your words. Have a happy day and thanks so much for sharing!! Patti

I have to admit I got tears in my eyes when I hit that last part of your message about trying to get out of debt. It really hit home. My life has really gone down hill this past couple of years when I moved and had to take a job that paid over half what I was making. My bills were way over what we were making, and I had to use credit cards to live on. I now have a better job and want to cut out credit cards altogether, but I know it's going to be hard! Yes, I have been used to getting pretty much what I wanted when I wanted it. I was never extravagant or shopped a lot, but I wasn't lacking in much. Now my credit cards are almost all maxed and I have been scraping the bottom of my foundation bottle for about a month before I went to samples I had in a drawer. I am so used to buying the expensive stuff I just can't get myself to buy foundation at the grocery store or discount store. I have to wait until I have the money. It's that way with a lot of things, but I know in the end it will be worth it. God has a plan for me, and I know it won't work until I get my finances in order and can concentrate on what I can do for Him. He has been working on me, and I just need to concentrate on what really matters in life and not material things. Thank you so much for your message!

Mary Beth,
I don't get a chance to "hop around" in the blog world very often, but your devo today really made me stop and think about "going back to Egypt" which is such a battle even in the journey with Nick's cancer. Sometimes after things have been so heart-wrenchingly difficult and then we have a season of peace, I find myself looking back at the closeness I felt at God during the valley and missing it....YIKES! What AM I THINKING!?!?!?! Anyway, I came to your blog to say and thank you and then I saw the link to this post for a prize! HOW FUN!
Love you,
Tammy
Thank you for your prayers for Nick!

Mary Beth,

I would love the chance to get a Chris Tomlin CD. He is one of my favorites and it would be a great blessing to win it. I really appreciate your encouraging words that you give to me through your devotions. I know that every sacrifice we have to go through to get out of debt, God will help us through it and make us stronger in the mean time.

Thanks again and God Bless!!

The world could use a little more Chris Tomlin! Thanks for the ministry of your blog. I have five kids myself and sometimes the days get real long! I consider it pure grace though when at the end of the day my kids are all happy, healthy, and growing in Christ. Thanks again for helping me along my journey!

Hi MaryBeth. I would LOVE to have the Chris Tomlin CD to bless my younger brother with..for two years he has been enduring multiple medical issues landing him in the hospital, surgery, etc. and despite all of this, he still leads worship at his church in Oregon with a heart for God. What a blessing it would be to help him expand his worship library.

Thanks for the snap back to God's reality! I came across this after reading the devo today. I had been sitting at the computer crying and having a personal pity party. Missing my sister Crystal, lovely mother of 7 ,Godly woman, devoted wife who died in July of cancer.Bemoaning how hard it is for me to stay obedient with finances even when God has mercifully provided a way to get out of our debt..yada yada yada. thanks again! Bless you
