BooMama's Christmas Tour Of Homes!

Call me a blogging nerd, but I have been looking forward to this day since I heard that BooMama was going to be coordinating it! This here's my contribution!

These are actually suspended from the chandelier in my dining room. An easy and quick craft with just some wired ribbon and a glue gun! Pretty! Festive!

The top of my piano-- some trees, some greenery, some snowmen and reindeer all thrown in for good measure. It may not all go together, but it works somehow-- at least for me.

My mom got me these snowmen one year, and they make the perfect sentries for my dry sink. I top off the dry sink with a handpainted wooden scene that was my grandmother's. It has sentimental value for me-- especially this year as it is the first Christmas since she died. I flank it with my festive candy-cane striped candles.

Our mantle. I like to take the picture that hangs there all year long down and replace it with a wreath. (If you look to the right of the photo, you can see the tree that sits on our screened-in porch.)

Half of the centerpiece that graces my dining room table. (I wrote about this centerpiece in the opening article of the JOY book.)

This is a large hurricane vase filled with pinecones, greenery and more of the balls that hang from the chandelier. (This piece is also in my dining room.) I set the vase down in a wreath, and flank it with angels and candlesticks.
Thanks for touring my home! Y'all come back now, ya hear?

Marybeth,
Your home is beautiful and inviting like always. What a special touch you have to make a house into the most wonderful cottagey home. Is that a word? If not, it should be.
Christmas Hugs friend!

Your home is so tastefully decorated! I've seen a lot of people decorating their light fixtures in a similar way. I had never thought of doing that, but I love the way it looks. I'll have to add that to my list of things to decorate next year.
