Confusion

Sometimes when my son is in the kitchen talking, I will think that it is my husband in there. It takes me a moment to think, "Oh, that's my son in there, sounding like a man."

He will be 15 tomorrow. It hardly seems possible.

My oldest son is 17. He is now taller than anyone else in the family which greatly delights him. We went to a homeschool conference Saturday and I was telling a young mom with a baby in a sling that was how I went ot my first homeschool conference - and it was so funny to think about my big tall son as fitting into a sling. He was only 6 weeks old at the time and still very tiny. It is just amazing, isn't it?!

I now have two daughters (one thirteen and the other almost twelve) who are taller than me. My ten year old is not far behind.

Every now and then, I see a photo of my eldest and think it is me! It happens so fast!

I love you Marybeth Whalen...just thought I would post that on the world wide web. Thanks for your comments.

and regarding this post, our son's voice has also changed this summer. In fact, I noticed it one day when I was away from home and had called him...so I just kept calling him back and making him answer the phone so I could hear him again! He thought I was making fun of him, but I wasn't...I was just amazed that his voice had seemingly changed overnight!
