I am saddened that you may be confusing women who are in terrible situations right now. Your Scripture refers to a time when the Israelites were slaves to the Egyptians, nothing of their own fault. Your devotion spoke of children who sinned and were reaping what they had sowed. They were given too much of the world, they indulged and they received punishment as they should. Then you brought it all back around to women who may be going through a time and may not see or understand what God is doing, the problem is that in relationship to your story,they may feel as if they are being punished by God.There is not a relationship between your Scripture, your story and your final thoughts. I am sure that you did not mean any harm and that it was crystal clear when you wrote the devotional, but your theology is not accurate. I pray this comes as constructive and not harsh. In my dream, we ran into each other in a bookstore where we were both there to do some writing. Right before I woke up, I was asking you to tell me what your novel is about. LOL
I guess I'm just too impatient (and nosy) for my own good. Can't wait!
Have a great rest of the week!
Blessings,
Amy O./picketfencemomAmy O/picketfencemomnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3762514.post-40080418188282630232009-10-21T08:32:39.045-04:002009-10-21T08:32:39.045-04:00Thanks for you post today...

I hadn't thought of this for years! Now that I have children 6 and under it's more important to write down what goals the Lord has for me.

Also I am reminded of the scripture in Habakkuk 2:1-3 NKJV

1 I will stand my watch
And set myself on the rampart,
And watch to see what He will say to me,
And what I will answer when I am corrected.

The Just Live by Faith

2 Then the LORD answered me and said:

“ Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.

WOW! Thanks again for the reminder today!
