I just finished a book called Emily Alone by Steve Onan( I think that is the authors name...close if not exact) and it is one of the best books I have read in a long time. It is about a widow learning to live with the limitations of age. I thought it would be depressing but it was very encouraging. I had a hard time believing that a MAN wrote this book. Another good one I read recently is The Gargoyle. It is not one I would have checked out on my own but was recommended by a friend at our reading group. It was strange but good.Arlene Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17845514896764280013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3762514.post-22803039234895781222012-03-01T11:13:50.815-05:002012-03-01T11:13:50.815-05:00I've only read The Weird Sisters from this lis...I've only read The Weird Sisters from this list....thanks for the other recommends.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11129662082248482002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3762514.post-78100757629410963642012-03-01T08:48:50.623-05:002012-03-01T08:48:50.623-05:00I know what you mean, Marybeth! It wasn't that much happened exactly, but I was completely transported into the story. I think I'll try to find that book in my house and give it another read.BethAnoreply@blogger.com
